What is FOS?
Pennsylvania's certification series for new child welfare supervisors.



What to expect:


  • Development of supervisory skills alligned with the Pennsylvania Child Welfare Practice Model and Child Welfare Competencies
  • Eight modules comprised of asynchronous online preparation, field work, and synchrounos instructor-led sessions using Team-Based Learning™ (TBL™) delivery method and embedded simulation activities
  • Series covers professional boundaries, teaming within the agency and with external partners, how agencies fit into the larger child welfare system, using child welfare data, workforce development, coaching and performance management, and implementing and coping with change

There are 10 competencies that help us achieve the outcomes of Saftey, Permanency, and Well-Being. They are Engagement, Assessment, Teaming, Planning, Implementation, Monitoring and Adjusting, Cultural, Responsiveness and Awareness, Law and Policy, and Advocacy.





Content is delivered through:


Asynchronous Online Preparation, Field Work, and Synchronous Instructor-led Sessions.
